Homemade baked mac and cheese is a easy to make comfort food. Aunt Sandy shows how to make a White Sauce for her mac and cheese that adds that extra cheesy goodness.

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray ... set aside.
Cook the pasta till al dente according to the package instructions.
Remove pasta from heat, drain, and place in greased baking dish.
Add cubed cheese over the pasta.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add flour to melted butter while whisking for about 1 minute until bubbly and golden.
Slowly add the milk until mixture thickens, and is nice and smooth.
Whisk in salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika (optional).
Add 2 cups of shredded cheese and whisk until smooth. Sauce should be nice and thick.
Pour sauce over pasta stir until well combined.
Sprinkle the remaining cup of cheese over the top completely covering the macaroni and cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
