How to Make Glazed Carrots: Simple and Tasty Side Dish
Ingredients
1 lb. (16oz) whole carrots or 1 bag (16oz) of baby carrots
¼ cup brown sugar, packed
3 tbsp butter
salt and pepper to taste
(optional)¼ tsp. cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F / 204°C.
Greased 8 X 8 inch baking dish.
Peel and slice the carrots into similar size. About 1 inch in length.
Par-boil for 5 minutes.
Rise with cold water.
Place in a shallow bowl and pour over the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Mix to coat well.
Transfer to a baking dish.
Cook in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and stir the carrots.
Continue cooking for another 5 minutes until tender and glazed is golden.
Remove from the oven and allow carrots to cool for a couple of minutes, then transfer onto a serving dish.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
Enjoy!
