Bacon Wrapped Asparagus with Glaze is a tasty dish. The crispy, savory bacon complements the fresh, slightly sweet flavor of the asparagus. This simple recipe works as an appetizer or quick side dish, offering a balance of textures and visually appealing.

Ingredients

• 1 pound asparagus spears (fresh or frozen - thawed)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 12 slices bacon
• 1 teaspoon pepper - to taste
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 1½ tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Directions

1. Rinse and trim ends off of asparagus spears.
2. Place asparagus in a large bowl. Coat each spear with olive oil.
3. Bundle together 2 to 3 spears and wrap each bundle tightly with 1 slice of bacon. Repeat with remaining asparagus and bacon.
4. Cook bacon wrapped asparagus one of three ways (Bacon thickness will determine Cooking time.):
1. Oven: bake at 400°F (204°C) for 20 - 25 minutes till bacon is crispy.
2. BBQ Grill: Secure the free end of each strip of bacon with a toothpick. Grill (with cover down) over medium heat till the bacon is crisp for about 12 - 15 minutes.
3. Air Fryer: Air fry at 400°F, until the bacon is crisp and asparagus spears are fork-tender about 12 - 15 minutes.
5. Whisk together honey and balsamic vinegar.
6. Drizzle mixture over asparagus spear bundles while warm from the oven and prior to serving.
