Ready for a salad that is refreshing and bursting with tropical flavor? Grandma Elsie's Congealed Lime Salad is the perfect blend of citrus and tropical flavored goodness. With it's vibrant green color, it's not just a salad — it's a visual delight, and it's an over 100 Year Old Recipe.

Ingredients

• 1 package (8oz.) cream cheese soften
• 2 packages(3oz. each) instant lime jello
• 1 can (20oz.) crushed pineapple (Completely drained. Save juice.)
• 1 cup fine chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
• 1 cup hot water
• 1 cups: drained pineapple juice plus cold water. NOTE: add enough cold water to your drained juice to make a total of 1 cups.

Directions

1. Completely drain crushed pineapple. Save juice.
2. Mix lime jello and cream cheese together.
3. Add hot water. Stir until dissolved.
4. Add cold water and pineapple juice mixture. Mix together.
5. Add crushed pineapple. Stir until blended.
6. Add nuts. Mix together.
7. Pour mixture into 13 x 9 x 2 glass casserole dish.
8. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Serving(optional)

1. Cut salad into squares and lay on leaf of lettuce.
2. Top square with teaspoon of mayonnaise and red cherry.
