Taco Ring Casserole

Tacos and crescent rolls make for a delicious twist to taco night and parties. A Taco Ring is a quick and simple one dish meal with few ingredients and almost endless filling options. Add your favorite toppings, and we are ready to enjoy a very filling meal. Oh, don't forget the sauce.

Ingredients

• 1 pound hamburger meat
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 1 dash each salt, garlic & onion powder, and pepper
• ¼ cup (4 tbsp) or 1 package (1 ounce) taco seasoning
• ¾ cup water
• 2 cans (8 ounce) refrigerated crescent rolls
• 1 package (8 ounce) shredded Mexican cheese blend

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef and onion until browned (5–7 minutes); drain grease.
3. Mix taco seasoning and water. Add mixture to meat and bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until water evaporates (10–15 minutes).
5. Separate crescent roll dough into triangles.
6. Arrange triangles in a circle on a pizza stone or pan, points facing outward.
7. Add half the cheese onto the wide ends of the dough forming a ring.
8. Spoon beef mixture onto the cheese on the dough.
9. Fold triangle points over the filling, sealing the dough by tucking underneath the ring of dough.
10. Bake until golden brown, checking at 12 minutes.
11. After removing ring from oven top with your favorite toppings. We used lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and jalapeno peppers.
