Peach Cobbler, my all-time favorite desserts! This recipe is super easy to follow and results in a delicious, golden-brown cobbler that's perfect for any occasion. Whether you're hosting a family gathering or just craving something sweet, this Peach Cobbler will hit the spot.

Ingredients

• 4 cups fresh peaches raised, peeled, and sliced or 1 can (28oz) peaches, sliced in heavy syrup
• 2 cups sugar divided in two
• ½ cup water
• ½ cup (1 stick) butter
• 1½ cups self rising flour
• 1 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. Greased 13 x 9 inch deep baking dish.
3. In a 4 quart sauce pan, combine fresh peaches, 1 cup of sugar, and water. Mix well.
4. Bring mixture to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
5. While peaches are cooking, place butter in 13 x 9 baking dish put in oven till butter is melted.
6. When butter is melted remove from oven.
7. When cooking time is complete, remove pan with preaches from heat.
8. Combine remaining 1 cup of sugar, flour, and milk slowly to prevent clumps from forming.
9. Pour batter mixture over melted butter. Do not stir.
10. Spoon peaches on top then gently pour syrup.
11. Sprinkle ground cinnamon (optional) over top.
12. Bake for 30 - 45 minutes or till golden brown on top. Check at 30 minutes.
13. During baking batter will rise to the top.
14. To serve, scoop onto a plate and serve with your choice of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
