Forever Amber

Forever Amber is a sweet treat from long ago made with orange-flavored candy, coconut, pecans, and more. The resulting candy has a sweet and tangy orange flavor.

Ingredients

• 1 pound chopped candy orange slices
• 7 ounces coconut
• 1 tsp orange extract
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1½ cans sweetened condensed milk
• 1½ cups chopped pecans
• 1 box of powdered sugar (to roll candy in)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 275º
2. Mix all ingredients together except powdered sugar.
3. Spray a 13 x 9 inches baking dish with cooking spray.
4. Spread mixture in baking dish.
5. Bake at 275° for 30 minutes.
6. Take out of oven to cool. I leave mine in the refrigerator overnight.
7. After mixture has cooled completely, pinch mixture into small balls and roll in powdered sugar.
8. Lay on wax paper for one hour.
9. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
