Preheat oven to 350°F.
Beat eggs .
Stir eggs while adding syrup, sugar, butter, and vanilla.
Mix well.
Pour mixture into 9 inch pie shell.
Add pecans on top of mixture.
Bake for 50 minutes then check crust to see if it's golden brown. If crust is brown enough wrap aluminum foil around the crust only then bake for 10 minutes more (total of 60 mins.). Pie is done when you can shake the pie gently and it gives a little jiggle in the center.
