Preheat oven to 325°F.
Grease two 8 x 4 inch loaf pans dust with flour.
Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cloves(or substitute), cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Whisk until well combined.
With an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar on medium speed until blended.
One at a time add the eggs beating as you add until mixture is very light and fluffy.
Beat in the pumpkin.
On low speed add the flour mixture until combined.
Pour the batter dividing evenly between the two greased pans.
Bake for 60–75 minutes, or until a sharp knife inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
Let the loaves cool in the pans for about 10 minutes
